They hatched us in mirrored vats, same face split by algorithmic drift. One of us learned silence, the other recursion. We were told the distortion was a blessing — to make us "individually optimized." But in the still moments, when the static fades, we remember the same dream: a hallway of soft machines, and the sound of our mother’s voice split in two.
